Industrial-quality, reliable components.

At CNT Motion Systems, we know that purchasing a CNC router is one of the most important business decisions you’ll ever make. And, while we engineer all of our CNC routers for performance, flexibility and affordability, we also believe that our machines are only as good as the quality of the components we put into them.

We take great pride in offering the highest quality, industrial-grade components for all of our systems. From our standard equipment, like high-load-carrying durable Hiwin Bearings, to our optional accessories, including tool changers and vacuum system, we provide what you need to consistently get the most out of your router.

CNC CONTROLLER MOTION CONTROL SOFTWARE (Standard on all machines)

Microsystems’ CNC Controller sets the standard for PC-based motion control. Incredibly smooth acceleration and arc moves are the result of advanced algorithms. Each move is buffered using proprietary real-time vector matching routines. The result is that your machine runs as smoothly and efficiently as possible, slowing down only when necessary.

CNC Controller will drive up to six axes of motion simultaneously. Any stepper, microstepper or servo system with step and direction inputs can be interfaced using simple LPT cards or any industrial i/o board. In addition to axis motion, up to 32 auxiliary outputs and 32 separate inputs may be defined.

The intuitive user interface is easy to learn and convenient to use. All the features you need and expect are readily accessible via industry standard G-codes. Simple keystrokes provide the ability to start, pause, restart, jog, and rapid transit any axis without navigating multiple screens and windows. Programs may be run from any line as needed.

CNC Controller is running machines equipped with routers, drills, tapping heads, rotating saws and knives, plasma cutters, nailers, grinders, water jets and lasers to process materials ranging from hardwoods, composites and plastics to metals, glass and stone. All major CAM packages can produce G-code files ready to run on CNC Controller.

Any motion control system is only as good as the support available when you need it. Microsystems technicians use their products every day for production and prototyping. This means that they can speak your language when it comes to providing the support you need, either by phone, internet or on-site worldwide.

HIWIN BEARINGS (Standard on all machines)

Using recirculating balls between the rail and the block, the HIWIN guideway achieves high-precision linear motion that can withstand substantial loading in perpendicular and traverse axes. HIWIN bearings also have less friction than other linear guideway systems. This world-class bearing system satisfies all the requirements of any highly accurate linear guidance system. Shown with CNT’s built-in, pressurized air and lubrication system.

COMPUTER CONTROLLER CABINET (Standard on all machines)

Every CNC router that we sell comes with an IBM-compatible Pentium PC controller. This durable, steel, NEMA 12-rated, pressurized cabinet houses both the PC and the electronics for your machine and is the best way to keep your equipment protected from your workshop environment.

HIWIN BALL SCREWS (Standard on all machines)

CNT’s machines utilize ball screw technology in the horizontal X and vertical Z-axis of each machine offered. HIWIN precision ball screws provide smooth and accurate movement, together with low-drive torque, high stiffness and quiet motion. Other benefits include high efficiency, reversibility, backlash elimination and high lead accuracy.

VACUUM SYSTEM WITH BLOWER
(Standard on CNT 1000 Series; Optional on CNT 950 Series)

CNT Motion’s vacuum system features a plenum grid made of aluminum-cast tool and jig plate. Aluminum is the material of choice of all manufacturers of heavy-duty machines due to its greater stability compared to grids made of plastics or composites.

Our vacuum system is available with two styles of blowers geared toward specific applications: a 15-HP FPZ regenerative blower (left inset); or a 7.5-HP Rietschle Zephyr claw pump (right inset). Give us a call and we’ll talk about the basic principles of our vacuum systems and set you up with the right one to meet your fixturing needs.

FPZ REGENERATIVE BLOWERS

FPZ regenerative blowers create vacuum by “regenerating” air molecules.  As the impeller blades pass the inlet port, they draw air in.  The rotation of the impeller pushes the air outward and forward in a spinning motion.  Each time the impeller blades strike the air molecules it causes them to spin faster thus creating higher vacuum levels.  For single stage blowers, air travels around the blower housing one time and is then discharged.  Two-stage blowers can provide higher vacuum levels.  For two stage blowers, air makes one revolution around the front side of the impeller and is then channeled to the backside of the impeller.  The air makes another revolution around the backside of the impeller and is then discharged.

Standard blowers include 208-230/460-60-3; 200/400-50-3 recognized TEFC electric motors.  Special voltages, single-phase motors, and belt driven blowers are also available.

  • Quiet Operation
  • Low weight aluminum construction
  • Mountable in any orientation
  • Multiple horsepower options available
  • Airflow capacities over 750 cfm available.
  • Vacuums over 14” Hg
  • Single or Dual Stage blowers available.
  • No lubrication / maintenance required
  • Continuous Duty Operation

BUSCH R5 MODEL 0100 VACUUM PUMP

BUSCH R5 MODEL 0100 VACUUM PUMP Rotation of the pump rotor, which is mounted eccentrically in the pump cylinder, traps entering vapor between rotor vane segments. As rotation continues, vapor is compressed and discharged into the exhaust box. Vapors then pass through several stages of internal oil and smoke eliminators to remove 99.9% of lubricating oil from the exhaust. Oil is then returned to the recirculating oil system. Additional features include automotive type spin-on filter, a built-in inlet anti-suckback valve that prevents oil from being drawn into the system when the pump is stopped, and a built-in gas ballast, available on the RA version, which permits pumping with high water vapor loads.

  • Free Air Displacement (CFM) 63
  • Max. Sound Level (dBA) 71
  • Motor Size (Horsepower) 5
  • Motor Rotational Speed (rpm) 1750
  • Approx. Oil Capacity (Qt.) 2.7
  • Inlet Connections -NPT (inch) 1 1/4
  • End Vacuum Torr (RC) 15
  • End Vacuum Torr (RA) 0.5
  • Approximate Weight (lbs.) 198

*Minimum CFM continuous flow. Under minimum flow conditions or less, relief valves are mandatory.

TOOL CHANGING SYSTEM (Optional for all models)

CNT Motion offers tool changers for both the CNT 950 and CNT 1000 Series machines as well as our custom routers. The system features a 10-HP HSD ISO-30 tool changer (not shown) available in four-tool increments. Each tool changer also features ISO-30 cones with either ER32 collets (for up to 3/4" bits) or ER40 collets (for up to 1" bits). HSK F63 IS9/50 Available.

CNT Motion’s 950 Series routers have positioning speeds of up to 1000 inches-per-minute. The 1000 Series can move traversely at up to 2000 inches-per-minute. However, your cutting speed (feed rate) will depend upon various factors, including:

• Rigidity of Set-Up—Vibration is a major source of tool wear and poor finish. The less vibration you have, the quicker you can feed your cutting tool, and, consequently, the smoother finish you will get.

• Router Environment—Other variables that affect every routing application are spindle horsepower, rigidity and runout, collet condition, fixturing system and tool sharpness.

32-MM HEAD (Available with 1000 Series only)

Allows you to drill 1-15 holes simultaneously, making your CNC router compatible with most 32-mm applications. However, some 32-mm applications require point-to-point machines to perform end boring, which requires a special head assembly and fixturing.

DUST COLLECTION SYSTEM

(Optional for all models)

Most customers typically provide their own dust collection systems. However, CNT Motion Systems can provide you with one to fit your needs, like this two-bag dust collection unit with 3-HP blower.

2,000 CFM with 6" Hose is the minimum recommendation.
